![]() ![]() We must've had at least 7 different staff at our table, all very professional and approachable - kudos to the service staff. The table-side Caesar salad at $24 per person (min 2 ppl order) was nothing spectacular and small in size at the per person cost. The Profiterole ($18) and Baked Alaska for two ($30) were worth every dollar, even just for the presentation alone. Our huge table had this single little thin lamp that was cool, but at max brightness only lit up a square foot of area underneath it. There's little to no indirect lighting to be able to appreciate the decor, let alone see what you're eating. darker, our booth and surroundings did as well. For an establishment with such historical eye-candy, as it got. We pretty much ordered all the finest food, drinks and desserts. MoreĪside from the beautiful castle and impeccable service, I find this place too dark/dim and the food overpriced and underwhelming for what you get. They could also have live music, like a string quartet. But they should be following basic etiquette rules, and I feel like there should be a soup/salad included or a palate cleanser. My leftovers were in a reusable plastic container and then a tote bag which was nice. But I don’t see why they couldn’t have seated us.įor the price they need to do more. We weren’t looking to be served then or even given menus then. We explained that to the staff and they checked us in but wouldn’t let us sit at our table until the reservation. There was a wedding at the facility the day of my reservation so at one point we were trying to find a place to get out of the way. Also no one told me the drink menu was on the tablet. This restaurant has plastic chairs and no one tried to push them in. Another had multiple courses and again cloth chairs. ![]() One had palate cleansers, waiters pushing your cloth chairs in, and table side preparations. I have eaten at other restaurants that are in this class and the experiences were vastly different. The cheese bread we were given to start was amazing. (I want anyone reading this to know I RARELY look at what side someone serves you on but for the price and venue the expectation had been set. They served on the right, and let my friend eat a shortbread that had fallen on the table. I took etiquette classes before and expected to see the wait staff following those guidelines. The mashed potatoes tasted bad, and I am skeptical they were made from real potatoes. My steak looked like it was sitting in a pool of oil. MoreĪs others have said it is expensive for what you get. If you would like to “experience”, go for it, but we felt it was not worth spending that much money and food quality was not recommendable either. ![]() For the price, we were expecting a bit quiet, and romantic couple dinner for New Year’s Eve, but it was pretty noisy. It was also fully packed for the Casa Roma tour, and our seat was near the entrance that connected to the Casa Roma tour course (we made a reservation 3 weeks ago by the way). We are not big eaters, so we only ordered 2 appetizers, 2 cocktails, and the sea food tower, and paid $375+ including tips, and $15 for parking (do the math!). We didn’t expect big portion of food at all, but for the price, the sea food tower had only 4 pieces of oyster, 4 pieces of shrimp, and then a few pieces of king crab, mostly legs. king crab was over cooked and felt very dry, the oyster was probably tiniest size we’ve seen in any restaurants so far, and the sauce tasted like ketchup mixed with some hot pepper sauce. That’s ok, we still wanted to enjoy the food. We were excited to try out the seafood tower and the one we got was completely different from the image they promoted publicly. However the food quality wasn’t that great.
